Panagiota Silk Designs is a custom wearable silk art brand. The name Panagiota was inspired by the mother of artist Irene Faso, Panagiota “Poppy” Sperounis. Panagiota was a seamstress in the historic textile mills of Lowell, Massachusetts, where she sewed garments for brands such as Ralph Lauren. Irene’s father, Henry “Hank” Faso, was a shoemaker and a US Army veteran who proudly served his country in WWII.

Irene is carrying on her family’s artisan tradition by creating timeless, handcrafted silk scarves. Irene approaches her work with custom colors and hand-finished details to create soft, durable pieces that evoke expression and highlight her clients’ natural beauty.
